With Professor Lan Yu as the academic leader, the main research areas of the team are on the underwater acoustic transducer and transducer array, deep sea transducer, underwater acoustic system, acoustic sensor, acoustic finite element analysis, acoustic metamaterial and so on. The team has undertaken in total more than 20 projects from National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China, Naval Pre-research projects, etc., signed more than 30 commercial contracts for the research and development of various types of civilian products, and received more than 30 million yuan of research funding. In recent years, the team has made significant progress in the areas of very low frequency acoustic transmission and reception technology, deep sea transducer technology, low frequency high power transmit transducer and array technology, new material acoustic transducer technology, and acoustic metamaterial technology. The team has published more than 100 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, has been granted 4 invention patents, and has won 2 science and technology progress awards in ministerial level. At present, the team consists of 8 members, including 2 professors, 1 associate professor, and 3 lecturers. The team members have won the Advanced Individual of the 863 program in 2009, 2010 and 2012, and the Advanced Individual of Teachers' Morality in Colleges and Universities in Heilongjiang Province. The team’s research results have been applied in nearly 20 domestic units, including the Institute of Acoustics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, National University of Defense Technology, PLA Navy Submarine Academy, Institutes of 701, 719 and 726 of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), systems engineering research institute of CSSC, Institute 3, 14, and 27 of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CECT) and other renowned research institutes.
