The Key Laboratory of Marine Information Access and Safety of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology based on the major requirements put forward by major national strategies such as "Marine power" and "The Belt and Road" in the field of Marine information, aiming at the frontier direction of the field of Marine information, the major needs and development trends of national science and technology development, was approved for establishment in 2017. Relying on the world-class high-level research team, the laboratory has gathered and cultivated a large number of leading talents, first-class experts and innovative teams who are active in the international academic frontier and have important international influence in the field of Marine information around the full information link of "acquisition - transmission - processing". Focus on new knowledge, new theories, new methods, new technologies and new applications in the four research directions of Marine information transmission, Marine big data technology, Marine information security technology and Marine sensor technology. Facing the frontier of Marine information science, the laboratory explores the training mode of Marine information top-notch innovative talents and international elite talents, as well as collaborative education mechanisms such as innovation and entrepreneurship education, and deepens academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with high-level universities and research institutions in the world.
