The Deep Underwater Information Technology Institute (DASIPI) was established in 2002, focusing on overcoming the challenging problems which restricting the development of deep-sea technology in China, such as the complex underwater acoustic channel environment, the serious disturbance of underwater acoustic platform and the difficulties in the realization of independent intellectual property rights system. In the past two decades, with the support of the National 863 Program, key projects of the fund, key research and development programs, major projects and key projects, DASIPI has been in the field of research and development. Focusing on the two directions of underwater acoustic positioning communication and navigation 、 underwater acoustic information perception and recognition,team formed core equipment with independent intellectual property rights. Team has won one second prize of National Technology Invention, one first prize of Provincial and Ministerial level and three second prize of Provincial and Ministerial level .The research results have been selected into the top ten scientific and technological progress of Chinese universities and the top ten scientific and technological progress of China Ocean Engineering, and the research team has won the titles of "Workers' Vanguard" of All-China Federation of Trade Unions and "Outstanding Contribution Award" of China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association.
