From October 12th to 15th, the final of the China International College Students Innovation Competition with the theme of "I Dare to Venture, I Will Create" was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The project "Deep Blue and accurate location - the first deep-sea high-precision positioning system of OBN node in China" won the gold medal.
The China International University Student Innovation Competition 2024 (formerly the "Internet Plus" Competition) is jointly hosted by 12 departments including the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. A total of 5.14 million projects and 20.836 million students from 5,406 colleges and universities from 153 countries and regions at home and abroad registered for the competition, and the participating teams demonstrated the development of entrepreneurial projects as complete and vivid as possible through PPT, short videos, physical displays and other rich and diverse forms. Relying on their respective industry background and professional knowledge, the expert judges of the final assess the operation and research ability of the participating teams in terms of market, product, technology, business model, operation, etc., conduct comprehensive scores, and announce the results of the participating teams on the spot.
On the field, in the face of the professional questions raised by the expert judges, the contestants were calm , showing the vigorous spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship of contemporary college students and the strong will to struggle and enterprising. The project team of "Deep Blue and accurate location - the first deep-sea OBN node deep-sea high-precision positioning system" from the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering performed well. Finally live up to expectations, highlight the encircling, won the gold medal, with wisdom and sweat to interpret the underwater acoustic students "man work knowledge, for the ship for the sea for national defense" spiritual pursuit, show the spirit of Harbin Engineering students dare to venture and dare to create.

"Deep Blue and Accurate Location" is the first deep-sea high-precision positioning system for OBN nodes in China. OBN node is a kind of offshore oil and gas exploration equipment which can collect and record seismic signals independently. OBN exploration technology has been successfully selected into the "Top Ten Scientific and technological Progress of China Petroleum", which is a new trend in the field of ocean exploration in China. In the process of OBN exploration, it is necessary to have an underwater positioning system to obtain the actual position information of OBN underwater, so as to ensure the accuracy of OBN exploration. This project is committed to providing deep-sea high-precision positioning for subsea OBN nodes, assisting OBN accurate exploration, and assisting OBN exploration to the deep sea.
