
On the afternoon of July 9, the 9th Xinghai Forum for Young Scholars at Home and abroad of Harbin Engineering University Underwater Acoustic Engineering sub-forum was held in Conference Room 314 of the Underwater Acoustic Building, and the meeting was carried out simultaneously online and offline. President Qiao Gang, Vice President Zhou Tian, Vice President Mo Shiqi, key teachers of innovative academic teams, and invited participants from Technical University of Munich, University of Western Ontario, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Austrian Nondestructive Testing Research Center, City University of Hong Kong, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, Southeast University, Jilin University, Sun Yat-sen University More than 30 outstanding young scholars from Xiamen University, Ocean University of China, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Xidian University attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by Qi Bin, assistant president.

President Qiao Gang expressed a warm welcome to the young scholars. He introduced the basic situation of the College of Underwater Acoustic from the aspects of its history, development, discipline construction and personnel training. From the current domestic demand for underwater acoustic technology talents and underwater acoustic technology challenges are systematically analyzed, we sincerely invite young scholars to join the college to participate in underwater acoustic research and contribute to the construction of Marine power.

Vice President Zhou Tian introduced the college's representative scientific research achievements, important research platforms and the research direction of each academic innovation team; It also interprets the relevant policies of talent introduction in university and college from the aspects of personal development, salary, living conditions and children's education.

Twelve participants, including Yang Tao from the Technical University of Munich in Germany, Bai Jiyang from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, Zhang Pan from Zhejiang University, and Yuan Zhiqiang from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, focused on the topics of "Simplification of semi-phenomenological acoustic models", "Agile Collaborative Architecture Design for resource allocation Optimization in Complex dynamic Networks", "Electromagnetic Imaging Methods for Intelligent Sensing and Learning Imaging", and "Ultra-Large Scale" The topic of "Antenna array channel modeling Research" and other academic reports were made, and the participating young scholars had extensive academic exchanges at the meeting.
Young scholars from the Technical University of Munich in Germany, the Austrian Research Center for Nondestructive Testing, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications have reached an initial intention to join the college.
