On August 27, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Harbin Engineering University, as an important activity of the academic celebration, the first meeting of the second Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Marine Information Acquisition and Safety,Ministry of Industry and Information Technology , was successfully held in the Underwater Acoustic Building.
Yin Jingwei, Vice President of Harbin Engineering University, Yang Desen, Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Marine Information Acquisition and Safety of MIIT, Li Jiabiao, deputy director and Wang Juncheng, three academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and members of the academic committee of the key laboratory, and nearly 20 experts and scholars attended the conference.
Academician Li Jiabiao made a keynote report entitled "The First seismic Acoustic Detection of the seabed under the Arctic Ice: Challenges and Progress". They reviewed the important achievements in seismic acoustic detection of the seabed under Arctic ice, and introduced the research progress and challenges in this field according to the development needs of our country in this field.
Yin Jingwei issued a letter of appointment to members of the Key Laboratory Committee of the Ministry of Key Laboratory of Marine Information Acquisition and Safety of MIIT, emphasizing that the laboratory should increase investment in Marine science and technology innovation and talent cultivation, devote itself to research breakthroughs and innovations, and make contributions around the strategic needs of Marine power.
Zhou Tian, director of the laboratory, reported the achievements of the laboratory's 2022 annual scientific research, talent cultivation, team and platform facility construction, as well as the follow-up key work. According to the work report, the participating members had a heated discussion on how to further strengthen the practical application of laboratory scientific research results and interdisciplinary integration and other aspects of the work, and how to further do a good job in exchanges and cooperation with scientific research institutes, and enhance the radiation capacity of the laboratory.
